For learning object I chose to create a Wordle because I feel like it highlights the main topics of my inquiry. I chose these words because most of them is what I focused on before I started my research. They were the words I feel were the most important to the project. I personally used https://tagul.com for my word cloud because the Wordle site was not working for me. It is okay to find other resources to help you get the results you need. The internet is not limited, so use your resources wisely!
Here are the reasons why I picked these words:
Buddhism- This was the focus of my genius hour. I really wanted to understand what Buddhism had to offer as a religion. I learned about it throughout my study and realized that it is not the answer I am looking for.
Mental Health- This is something that has affected me and many others in my life, and I was most interested in the way Buddhism helps with mental health.
Path - Buddhism is one path someone can choose to gain happiness, but it is important to remember there are many paths to choose from.
Reflection- This is key to figuring out exactly what you need. If you are self-aware it will help you understand what you really want in life.
Life- It's your life your fighting for, and everyone is important enough to figure they deserve one.
Soul- Whether you believe in a soul or not, this is about your virtues, and morals. You need to ease your soul by doing good, and staying away from negative aspects in your life.
Journey- This is a journey of self-discovery, it can take no time or a lot of time, it is yours to plan and keep going.
Self- Buddhism says there is no self, rather you have biological factors that effect your emotions. This is up to you to believe.
Mindfulness- This is something that has come up a lot in schools, and I wanted to see the origins of this concept to see how it has been used to help mental health.
Love- This is a subject I have always inquired about, to find out exactly what it means to love someone. Everyone has different point of view, and I am still looking for a way to define it.
Answer- Every inquiry seeks to answer questions, but that does not mean they will all be answered. I found for myself that Buddhism is not the means in which I will devote my mind to. Maybe I will find my answer through another means.
Searching- Everyone looks for something, for me it was not a physical object, but a reflective journey of my mind.
Choice- Everyone has choice in their life, and one thing I found in this journey is that some believe we act on impulse and adaptation to our environment. I am one to believe we have the ability to adapt, so there is no one set solution to what we want to do to help ourselves.
